Had a session with some photogenic Bearded Tits yesterday. They're normally among the reed but sometimes come to the crossing footbridge, obviously they find something to eat on it. Cute little ones nevertheless.

Not sure how you did it, but I love these fabulous images.

Cheers
Thanks a lot! No special secret in how, if you're careful they come quite close, with a large aperture the DOF will become very shallow, then place the camera on exactly the same level as the birds, even directly on the footbridge when they're walking about there.

Got it. So cool they came that close to you. They look to be very interesting little birds that I have never seen before. I am learning slowly about bird species and how to photographing them. Again thanks.

Metallic Starlings imaged during a two week birding spree through North Queensland, centered in the Daintree Rainforest and Cairns.
So far I have about 2000 images to go through but I liked this one and thought I would post it. One thing I didn't expect was that with the PL100-400 I was
shooting at ISO 1600 to 6400 and f6.3 to get about 1/50 to 1/100 sec with the EM1.2 - as the light in dense growth was often quite low.

So my second real outing just for birds , at the Bear River Migratory Bird Refuge in the Great Salt Lake. Great spot! Also, as any bird that’s not a crow, bald eagle, or seagull is beyond me, so please identify anything below! All SOOC from a few hours ago...a few have a slight crop.
