Took my E-M1iii on a trip recently and was absolutely staggered at the AF and speed of the thing (once I got over the even more impressive wildlife where I was ofc). As an unapologetic spray-and-pray-er, sifting through the days sharp shots is a mammoth task. Good problem to have though.

A Pectoral sandpiper, which was a life bird for me :dance2: I took this shot while sitting on a log on the shoreline and couldn't believe it when it approached within inches of me!

25mm? That vulture was practically in your lap!
I guess my image was misleading. I should've said that it was a crop (almost all my images are cropped-- maybe I should always say that). Actually I was inside and I took it through a dirty double-glazed window at a steep angle... Here is the uncropped image:

There appeared to be a meeting of these vultures in the backyard and in the trees. Some weeks later I went into the shed (door was not completely closed) and I discovered a skeleton of something larger than a cat just inside. I couldn't tell what the animal was. I thought that might explain the presence of all those vultures.

Perhaps I should have guessed there was a crop involved, but even so, 25 mm is an unusual choice for a birding lens. When presented with a good momentary opportunity, you use whatever is at hand.
