Noisy blighters for sure
And destructive
They love to pick the daffodils but don't eat them just play with them
I heard their characteristic ruccous and went to investigate

I reckon they're looking to see if the bulb is edible - they've been busy pulling up and eating native grassy bulb species here lately. Including my non-native crocuses!

My best hummingbird photo of the year, and also my only one so far. I was more concerned about not stressing the little guy and setting him free. I guess we should leave the back screen door closed to keep out unwanted visitors.

Fred, if you applied a bit of noise reduction to your blue sky background and cloned out the numerous spotty blobs in the right half, that would be a winner!

edit: also get rid of that bit of branch in the LL corner.
Thank you VERY much Lyle
I always appreciate C&C
I will do a re-process and give it another shot

EDIT and here is Take II
Noise reduction and a little sky clean up , remove LL branch

Richard these are excellent. You certainly have a magnificent range of smaller birds.
Very nicely photographed.

(Mis) Focused on the wings instead of the head, but I still like how the light hits the beak.

Only decent photo I got of these two through the trees. Not sure if I want a bit more contrast.

Lovely photos. The spotted pardalote is one of my favourite little bird species, we see them sometimes in SW Victoria.
