Didn't realize it was a Kingfisher(?) and he was going to fish, until it was too late.

Rare sight in these parts. A kingfisher pauses for a split second and then simply disappeared. I don't know how else to describe it. It's almost as if I caught an apparition. I thought I saw something land on a branch and in the split second I brought the camera up to see what it was and accidentally press the shutter button too far to get focus, he was gone. The result was an image that proves he was there and that's about it. So for that I'm grateful. I did see something. I am not nuts. It was a bird, a rare bird here but a bird none the less.

I spent the next 15 minutes looking and thinking maybe, just maybe he'd be back. So, maybe I am a little nuts after all.
