Hi Spaceghost, I fully agree with Isabel, beautiful children and the colors are great -- so cute and cheerful. Great details of those beautiful blue eyes!

Thanks for sharing your posting and I am sure lots of others in the cold weather will feel their warm too!

Have a nice day

From this past summer....ah, warmer days. A bit blustery here in Chicago today. This picture warms me back up. GF1 w/ 20mm 1.7 pancake. Straight .jpeg from the camera.

Bernd, great capture - lovely colors and details. Love the DOF and texture of the mask.

Reminds me of Phantom Of The Opera

Yes, Hampton Court which is about 5 miles from where I live. For those who haven't visited, it's worth knowing that photography is allowed everywhere (inside & out) except for the chapel.

This is hubby, Henry VIII, not as pretty:biggrin:

I like your picture too, the light is very good at Hampton Court. Do you know who the character is?

Not an m43 image, but I thought this woman/promoter was really full of life and hamming it up a bit in a way that I got lucky with compositionally...

Hi Greyelm,

Thank you for sharing another great! Lovely colors and lighting and sharp! The white feathers of the hat came out great!

When I was in visiting UK that year I was staying at Colbham and it is not very far away from Hampton Court.

Sorry I do not know who that character is!

Thank you for sharing your posting with us.

cheers

Gorgeous girl, beautifully captured....

Did he do anything unusual rather than flash straight on?
Isabel

I was out shooting and came across a bunch of photographers with their instructor who was teaching them to use the flash to min shadow around the eyes. I manged to grabbed a couple of shots and here is one to share.

Hi Isabel, as you know I am no expert with flash. Not really sure what neat tricks he was teaching his group.

Hi Grant, thanks for the useful tips. I should try that out next time. I took the above without flash and did not turn very good.

cheers and have a nice day
