Nice to see her with a smile on her face for a change Steve. ;)
Its the photographer's responsibility to get the subject to look good.

Kate and I went after a "fitness" theme during part of our latest shoot and I think we succeeded. The later afternoon sun converted this parking garage into an very cool setting providing just the vibe we were looking for.

Making a "180" from yesterday's light and bright fitness style post, this image of Kate flips the "feel". This subdued and moody image was shot at the same parking garage location as the aforementioned previous post with just a wardrobe change and a short 50 foot walk to these stairs.
Kate does a fantastic job here with expression matching the tone and feel of the surroundings. Beauty and versatility!

Light source is a large PVC pipe above camera position that was reflecting sunlight into the space.

Some friends came to stay the weekend, driving down from further north in a 1953 Citroen Traction Avant. Naturally, the Tennis Champ came unglued at the age of the car and we had to go for a long drive and then she happily posed for about 3000 photos on the lawn. Mrs M said the wind was nice but that was much tutting in the mirror upon our return home when she saw what had happened to her hair.

PS: if you want to see what the car looks like I've posted a photo here

Satisfied with this picture.
This is Munich, late in the evening. I had the 17mm f1.8 on so I was real close. Pretended to photograph the tower like a proper tourist, then lowered the camera and snapped this. 5000 iso, focus distance reads a little over 8 meters and af f1.8 this was exposed at 1/60th - good enough for the 17mm.
