Apologies if there is already a thread for this, I couldn't see one in the search.

This thread is to share sample images from all 1" sensor cameras.

First couple from Canon G7X Mk II:

How fortuitous this thread should appear - I'm getting my first 1" sensor camera soon - a second hand Nikon AW1 so that my tally of water ruined cameras will stop averaging one a year .... so hopefully posting some shots soon. Very keen to see how good the tracking AF is on moving targets.

If it has the same AF as the 1,2,and 3s it should be good.

Ye hah - my AW1 and the WR zoom arrived this afternoon (with two charged batteries!) and of course had to get out there and start shooting!
Nothing scientific about my processing - bit of tweaking to taste. The big event will be checking the lens seal and getting out on (and in) the water.
First impressions - it is a good size for taking fishing where hands get wet and slimy. Controls are simple which is what is needed when the action is rapid and unpredictable.
Focus is fast and tracking so far works well - especially with video. Nikon colours look a bit greenish after years of Olympus cameras, but it can all be massaged to taste.
Pity the zoom doesn't focus a bit closer - but you can screw on a 40.5mm filter so not a big expense to outlay if I feel it is important. Shutter is totally silent and can hardly detect if one or half a dozen shots have just been taken. photos are definitely better than the 1.7 sensor Canon S10 and a bit behind my M43 - which is all as expected.

And some more Nikon AW1 shots today ... got to read the manual figure out how to switch between the cluster AF and single AF box, otherwise the honeymoon is continuing nicely ...

The auto detect AF clusters are real eye candy after years of using S-AF on various Olympus cameras for the last few years ...

With the Canon G5x. All taken in one evening. Might have posted these elsewhere before but don't remember. Apologies if so.

I’ve swapped my Canon G7X Mk II for a Panasonic LX15 (10). The main benefits of the LX15 are:
  • Familiar Panasonic menus
  • Superior manual focus (it feels like a proper lens!)
  • 4K goodness
  • Custom settings! Up to 3 on the single C option on the dial.
  • f/1.4 @ 12mm
  • Aperture ring around lens as well as multi-function ring.
The Canon does win out on ergonomics but I’m hoping that I’ll find something to create a better grip. It is nice to have a similar menu option to play with though as I found the Canon menu restrictive and not very clear.

I was able to sell the Canon for just over £400 and picked up a slightly abused LX15 for £300. It has of a drop on the top two corners but also came with a 6 months guarantee so hoping nothing ontowards surfaces!
