I've searched and read about both of these EVFs and come to the conclusion that they each offer some nice advantages over the other. The extra cost isn't a big deal to me, really, so price aside... those who've carefully considered this same choice... what are your thoughts on the choice?

This would be used with my E-PL3. My gut steers me toward the higher resolution VF-2. But I like the improved features of the VF-3. Stuck in the middle right now.... :frown:

Besides a lock which can be bypassed with a piece of tape( maybe a nickels worth) what advantages? Vf-2 is better view, higher definition, and obviously retains value as price has not changed since intro of vf-3. What am I missing? Not that I would give up my vf-2.

The VF-2 is 1.15x while the VF-3 is 1.00x. That means that the view is quite a bit larger on the VF-2... that's enough reason for me to choose that over the other. ;)  It's like the difference between an E-5 and an E-30.
