<p> A curious combination of lack of walkways, dangerous drivers, lack of time, vicinity of ancient towns and abundance of laziness means we almost never take a walk just near to home, ensuring we know our steps in Silom Road or Chodni Chowk much better than here. </p>

<p>But this is going to change, as for the second time in only six years we go for a walk.</p>

    <p> </p>

    <div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/alfrjw/7062145389" target="_blank" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;">https://farm6.static.flickr.com/5333/7062145389_69ce530d21_b.jpg" id="blogsy-1334007373441.152" class="aligncenter" alt="Eastwards" width="640" height="360"></a></div>

<p>We enter a secure zone. A patrol is dispatched to intercept us, eventually find us harmless.</p>

    <p> </p>

    <div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/alfrjw/7062148087" target="_blank" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;">[img]https://farm8.static.flickr.com/7234/7062148087_4728246d37_b.jpg" id="blogsy-1334007373375.747" class="aligncenter" alt="Scramble!" width="640" height="360"></a></div>

<p> Just nearby, kinder people greet us with much curiosity.</p>

    <p> </p>

    <div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/alfrjw/6916069762" target="_blank" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;" title="">[img]https://farm6.static.flickr.com/5338/6916069762_f0e9f033ea_b.jpg" id="blogsy-1334007373360.105" class="aligncenter" alt="Little ones" width="640" height="640"></a></div>

<p> Besides, the beautiful people commenting on the passing strangers.</p>

    <p> </p>

    <div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/alfrjw/6916073788" target="_blank" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;">[img]https://farm8.static.flickr.com/7072/6916073788_88eb0d8ba4_b.jpg" id="blogsy-1334007373432.4053" class="aligncenter" alt="Beautiful people" width="640" height="480"></a></div>

    <p>The classic look westwards. It's almost full!</p>

    <div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/alfrjw/7062158339" target="_blank" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;">[img]https://farm6.static.flickr.com/5197/7062158339_62f6994ed2_b.jpg" id="blogsy-1334007373408.9653" class="aligncenter" alt="Almost full" width="640" height="360"></a></div>

<p> Meanwhile, we follow north entering heavy industry area. Probably the grass is the only thing in this picture not going to be exported in a short time.</p>

    <p> </p>

    <div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/alfrjw/7062161349" target="_blank" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;">[img]https://farm6.static.flickr.com/5457/7062161349_9525379cd9_b.jpg" id="blogsy-1334007373428.1794" class="aligncenter" width="640" height="360" alt="Strange bedfellows "></a></div>

<p> A moment, before entering town to look for ice cream too early, all closed. I like the scene, though.</p>

    <div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/alfrjw/6916082094" target="_blank" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;">[img]https://farm6.static.flickr.com/5316/6916082094_328af82206_b.jpg" id="blogsy-1334007373441.117" class="aligncenter" width="640" height="360" alt="Eastwards"></a></div>

<p> So, south we go and back home, ready to get our ice cream when the time comes.</p>

    <p> </p>

    <div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/alfrjw/6916084434" target="_blank" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;" title="">[img]https://farm8.static.flickr.com/7280/6916084434_9473e12db0_b.jpg" id="blogsy-1334007373468.4055" class="aligncenter" alt="Homeward" width="640" height="360"></a></div>
