    Aww, this inexpensive lens deserves a gallery.

    Which version of the lens do you have? AFAIK there are M42 and Pentax K-mount versions, as well as a K-mount version with a "macro mode" which can apparently give some interesting results.

    Oops. I had forgotten many would think this was M42. It's an FD mount and they are not that uncommon. I never knew Sears sold FD mounts. Made in Korea and marked "MOD 202.737380".

    I got it along with two other lenses for $5. Aside from the color shifts and 1980's resolution, it's a nice light lens for $2.

    I've got a K-mount Lentar lens with similar specs. It does okay, but I find that the 135mm focal length is just not that comfortable for me. It's not long enough to be long or short enough to be short.

    Anyway, at the price you paid you really can't go wrong.

    New uses for this lens with a .71X focal reducer. 100mm is still long, but is more flexible.
