Scotland, Early Winter: Two Views Of The Same Thing

    Ice axe and crampons on for the first time this winter. Views from Stob Binnein near Lochearnhead. Liked both images, which I got just before the mist descended, although perhaps the more heavily edited one is a little too abstract.

    EPL3 with Sigma 30mm f/2.8. Shots like this are the reason I ditched SLR format which was simply too bulky to fit in the bag along with all the other things you need above the snowline on the mountains.

    Very nice, although I expect in this case it was more exciting to actually be there.

    It certainly was above the snowline; lower down was the traditional swampy hillside :)

    I'm also jealous of your superior organisational ability. I got to the top of Stac Pollaidh last month, only to discover I'd left my camera in the car.

    That's an absolute fear of mine :)  I usually make sure I've got my camera before thinking about things like boots, water or food..
