    Hallo all...

    1. If I open up my ACR to photoshop in 16 bit mode,
    2. Perform my editing in 16 bit mode
    3. Save the psd. file in 16 bit mode.
    4. Then I change to 8 bit mode again and save it to use less storage space.

My question is, if I want to perform further editing, and change it back to 16 bit mode, is there any lost data and information because I had earlier saved it to 8 bit mode.???

I'm not 100% sure here but I think you'll lose all the information when you save the 8-bit version.

You can convert it back to 16-bit in photoshop, but that won't recover the original image information you discarded saving the 8-bit version. It'll be the same as the 8-bit version but taking up more space!
