Morten--that second one strikes me as an example of the ideal use for a fisheye. When you want to get view of a tight space with lots of detail, the distortion is a fine trade-off.

I think the Li River karst country would be a perfect place for the 7.5, and your image is the proof.

Back in the late 90s (ouch!), I took a break from a cycle tour to spend two luxurious days floating down the Mekong to Luang Prabang (Laos) on an old riverboat. I had a 17mm Tokina on a battered F3, and got a few memorable transparencies. I seem to remember that the trick was to not get my feet in the shot.

I wonder if my wife would OK a Samyang 7.5 for our upcoming vacation in Yunnan?

I've never got much use from my wide angle lenses, but now I never leave home without my Rokinon 7.5.

It's the perfect lens for trees. Note that the touches of yellow hint that fall isn't far away.

I am a new owner of the Samyang 7.5mm (2 or 3 days now). I must say, I absolutely love it!

I was able to take it with me on my last trip to Singapore. The pictures are taken in the Marina Bay Sands Lobby.

Just been playing with defish tools on a number of Samyang shots. I found fisheye-hemi to give the best results so bought it, though lens profiles in Lightroom and Hugin both give pretty similar results for no extra cost.
