Saguaro National Park

    Caught this one last week during a family Arizona x-mas break. Would welcome any advice on processing, etc.

    Taken with my E-PM1 + 75/1.8 (a fabulous travel combo!).

    Very nice. I would probably crop it just above the first cloud layer.

    I agree with the cropping suggestion. Also, you could try applying an S Curve to the a and b channels in LAB mode to boost color contrast, and/or shift the levels midpoint down to about 0.75 to make it a bit more dramatic.

    As a PS-ignorant Lightroom user, how would I implement this kind of strategy?

    Sorry, I don't have Lightroom, so I'm not sure what they call the equivalent functions, but I'm sure it's in there somewhere.

    I like what you did in B&W.

    Thanks, guys. And while I like the effect of the layered clouds, I think the 16:9 crop works a bit better as well.

    I like the light in the original, but I do agree with the crop.
