Safely Eject bug in Windows 7

    If your card reader light stays on even after it's been "safely ejected" in Win7 (unlike XP) this is supposed to be OK.
    Microsoft calls it "soft removel" - power stays on, but data transmission is suspended.
    You should not lose data while removing the card in Win7 so i read.
    But while reading the fix (for the light staying on) Microsoft says this:

    USB Port Remains Active for Disabled or Safely Removed USB Device

    Is data transmission suspended or not.

    (btw, the fix is easy and i don't worry about pulling cards now)

    Interesting. I don't think continuing to receive packets matters much, but interrupting a different device? That's new to me. Gonna do some research and find out the details I think. Presumably it can only affect devices on the same hub...
