Running out of battery after <100 pics and <5min of videos

I have a near new GF3 and after a full recharge, I can only get no more than 100 shots and 4 min of videos in an afternoon. That sounds way too low to me. I m just curious if this is the way it is or if I have a bad battery. I have only charge this battery a few times and I only recharge when it runs out.

Sounds like a bad battery. even my generic bought battery gets me 300 at least. hit up panny.

Try this

Though you did not say, are you leaving the camera on and allowing power save to run? I've used many of the Lumix cameras and I've never had any battery complaints. I take the photo and turn the camera OFF. While power save does save power, compared to leaving it on, it still consumes power.

Also, are you using the original battery, or an aftermarket?

I m using the original battery that came with the camera. Yes I was using the power saving mode without turning off the camera. I will try to turn off camera and test again.
