Surprise! It will be the next hit M4/3 lens!

I think so too... I'd even be surprised if they don't make an M4/3 version of it.
Yeah, the lumix site is 200% focussed on m43, so logical to expect Panasonic to re-release the 25 mm F1.4 for m43.
- Hopefully Sigma will do the same with their 50 mm F1.4...

I hope it'll be a 12-75mm f/2.5-3.3 that occasionally comes up in rumors; that lens would be one I can take 90 % of my pictures with.
This would make a lot of sense, there is a nice vacant spot for such a lens in m43. Must have OIS though...

I hope it'll be a 12-75mm f/2.5-3.3 that occasionally comes up in rumors; that lens would be one I can take 90 % of my pictures with. And then I'll have a look into the 100-300mm, so that I can replace the 45-200mm for hopefully something better.
I'd certainly like to replace my G2 kitzoom with a better walkaround lens. f/2.5-3.3 would be great, but I'd rather have a smaller zoom that is smaller and has better optics. I'd pay a good price for an 18-36mm in that aperture range, or maybe a 16-48mm. Below 18mm I'm happy with my Oly zoom, and above about 50mm I would rather have it in the bag (say a 100-300mm) rather than walking around with it on the camera.

I agree with most of the comments so far... either a M43 version of the PanaLeica 25/1.4 (but faster, say f/1.2) or a fast standard zoom, e.g. 14-40 f/2.

I'd be over the moon for either!

I'd like a 35-100 f/3.5 OIS with constant...To keep the price (under $900) and size a bit lower. Having it be f/2.8 would add size and price,
And if it was primes.....
25 f/1.4.... (Cosina will have a 25 f/.95 MF though), and
25 f/2.8 pancake as a cheaper alternative to the f/1.4
60 f/2.8

Wide Zooms.... 12-70 f/3.5 constant... and under $1000.00 please !
or a faster kit lens.... 14-50 f/2.4 constant

I have a $1000.00 budget. so it is either 2 more primes (Panny 25mm and 60) or a faster kit zoom to get me out to at least 50mm

That would be a nice kit...... 17/25/60..., I prefer primes though for the G1, not zooms.

I'd buy/preorder that straightaway  Personally I think it'll be a fast zoom lens too (perhaps bundled with the GH2?) because as we all know micro four thirds' high iso performance isn't as good as APS-C sized sensor cameras, although there is a rumour of a sensor with better lowlight performance...
My guess as well is that it'll be the GH2 bundled lens and probably a very good one though god knows how much that would cost and weigh...

Faster walkaround zoom

Although I love the 20 mm panny, I also sometimes miss my 24-105 f4 IS L Canon lens..

So, fast (around f/2.5 - 3.5 or such range), light, OIS "12-xx normal zoom would get my vote for now..

The 100-300mm I've been waiting for, for the winter birds in Florida, before any other lens. Then maybe an OIS replacement for the 20mm. Even with the 20mm, my hands shake, and that's the 'carry around, grab a shot' lens!

Me, I'd like another fast prime at a different focal length. I don't even care which one at this point. :)
