£6 to park your car for the privilege of paying £5 for a ropey pastie (cash only, no cards - the smaller shops can't buy lines for card terminals, allegedly) and visit a lot of 'souvenir' shops.
Don't even think about a selfie by the iconic sign - that's now roped off and you need to pay a local about 15 quid for a print. Of course, you could wait until he goes home, but then you'll see that most of the sign goes home with him
It's called private enterprise - and it's what happens when The National Trust gets outbid on a location as famous as this.
Don't waste your time or money. There are plenty of other places to visit for free nearby.
