Hello - I just got the Really Right Stuff grip for the E-M5. The bottom plate attaches to the camera tripod threads with a big screw. Then a vertical grip attaches to the bottom plate. The package contained 3 small screws, and there are 3 threaded holes that match those screws on the side of the bottom plate. The outermost holes are both recessed, making the screw heads fall in line with the surface of the bottom plate. However the central screw hole is not recessed, so if I put a screw there, it will protrude and prevent the camera from standing steadily on a flat surface. For now I left that screw out. Does anyone know why it's there?

Wish I had pictures, but only 1 camera so can't take pictures with the plate on.

I believe it is used to stop the plate from sliding out of the ball head mount. Only install it if you need this feature.
