Unsure of price yet, but is an upcoming lightning deal.

Looks like the m4/3 mount version is $400, is that a great deal?
Not sure what I'd do with a large manual focus 16 mm (32 AOV) lens but I can see it being good for street shooting/hyperfocal focusing and surely the f/2 is nice.

Works for me. :43: version is the fourth item from the left (second lens).
Product page does not show gold box deal price, but here it is.
for that price you're pretty close to the 17mm f/1.8
Agreed. This 16mm f2 would be much heavier than the 17mm/f1.8 which autofocuses very fast.
I see it on our forums listed for just $35 more. For $35 I would take the great reduction in weight, autofocus, and 1.8 over 2 on the max aperature.
Yeah, not really a lens intended for m4/3 - the 17mm is faster and probably weighs 1/5 of that lens (I have the rokinon 35mm 1.4 in Nikon mount and it is a beast of a lens)
Yeah but, yeah but... It looks really pretty.
It's useless to spend similar money on MF heavy lenses when dedicated M43 lenses are available. Why bother at all?
When m4/3 just started, MF lenses were the only way to get fast glass in some focal lengths. The native lenses are filling in the gaps better and better each year. MF glass still has a place if it fills a gap or in some cases is just much cheaper. This 16mm lens does not meet any of those criteria with the 17mm available.
Well, if this lens is debuting at this price point, there's a chance it could fall considerably over time. I'd consider it @ ~$200.
