Robin takes great shots ! I always enjoy his down to earth reviewing style. I certainly wouldn't say no if someone offered me the lens - otherwise its out of my price league. I'll just stick with the much-maligned-but-actually-quite-OK 17/2.8.
That man has an eye; he'd make any lens look great. Haha. I pre-ordered it because I think it's a great "package". I'm hoping it's something that can live on my camera most of the time, when I'm not shooting mostly people. Walkaround lens. I have some reservations about the focal length, being more familiar with a 28mm FOV. This "part 2" really makes me wish Olympus had done a 14mm instead. But then I probably would have skipped it, even with better build and the clutch focus, because the Panasonic is so freaking cheap. I wish they would hurry up and release it, haha. Then I'll have firsthand answers to all my questions.
Thanks for the link. His samples are always interesting photographically. OTOH his comment about the lens being sharp corner-to-corner and thus suited for landscapes flies in the face of most of the samples we've seen thus far...
