    wondering if anyone uses this viewfinder on their pens.
    i have a ep3 and am debating on getting it. what price shuold i expect to pay for used?

    is it like the olympus vf2?

    No. The Ricoh GV2 is an optical viewfinder. It's only purpose is a framing aid, providing a view that approximates a 28mm EFL lens (14mm on m4/3). It provides no information on focusing, exposure, or framing for a lens of a different focal length.

    The VF-2 by contrast is an electronic viewfinder and offers all of those abilities. It shows exactly what the sensor sees (including exposure), can display all manner of information, and whatever lens you use, the view corresponds directly to it. They're quite different.
