This may seem like a frivolous or silly question to some but, how should I go about removing the shiny stuff on the front of the camera.

Something more like this...

There's a shiny bar on the left (when being viewed from the front) that bothers me.

Bonus points to you if you know how I can remove the typography nicely as well.

For some reason when I first read this I thought it said you wanted to remove the "naughty" bits from the camera ...

Have any of you tried that leather cover? It actually looks pretty cool, but I'd love to hear if it panned out for someone else before jumping on it :) Looks too good to be true, or maybe a nightmare to put on right.

I haven't (mine is the SGP one, which shows all of the shiny parts), but it looks like this person did:

Side note: that's kinda sexy.

Oh goodness.
A leica branded m4/3.
(imposter, but hey, it's still got the red dot)

I probably wouldn't buy one, but I'd like to look at it lots. :)

The leica dot is a bit.. well..

I think I might try my hand at some very very careful masking and some nice black paint, although so far my DIY record this week hasn't been good.
