Gary -From photos I've seen of you, I'd never guess this for your style of music. I'm still stuck in the 60's. -Chrome

(I think I have a pretty good appreciation for most genres ... I even have Lil Wayne, lol ... But I did recently buy a Rod Stewart Xmas album.)

    The shame of it.
Did the guy you're shooting win, he sure looks like he's trying hard enough. Carl Palmer in dungarees. Damnit, that shows my age.

So if you could only keep the 35-100 or the 75, which one would it be?

Yes he did win, Aric Improda, a family friend. If you like drums, this is a cool event. (The CD was for my Mary Lou, but I do like Stewart's American Classic stuff.)

At the end he was sweating like a pig, the El Fin is Aric getting a breath at the end of the session/trial.

Aric starts out his session/trial with a handstand while thumping out a beat.

PS- I like Palmer ... well I really like his backup people.

Oh man. that is a tough call. Probably the 75mm ... remember that I have two bodies (easier to shoot primes with two bodies) and I have the O60mm, the O45mm, the PL 25mm to fill in. If I didn't have two bodies and limited "gap" lenses, I would have to go for the P35-100.

They are both steller performers, the 75mm seems to be a bit sharper and faster, the 35-100 is longer, wider and weather-sealed. (I purchased the P35-100 the morning of this event, so I really haven't had sufficient time with the lens to qualify its performance. The lighting at the event was really bizarre, red, yellow and magenta spots, I think the lack of a full spectrum and what light there was so heavily concentrated in the reds made for a tough sensor capture (effecting detail).

Good action shots Gary. I like the black and white version up the page a bit. Is this the guy that's related to you.

I reckon you would have got a bit of head banging in there for sure:smile:
