That's not the 18-55, it's the older 20-50. But it is an absurd price for an APS-C camera.

    Just ordered mine

Thanks for the heads up. It was a situation just like this that made me buy an E-P1, getting into this whole mess!

I had a Sony Nex and I didn't like it. We'll see about the Samsung.

As of tonight (Sunday) the price is $99.97!

It was 99.97 when I posted but I included shipping in the price.

  6. These are very much a first generation mirrorless product. Better in some ways than an equivalent early Micro 4/3 camera but frustrating in others. Amazing price though, and 20-50mm lens is meant to be very good for it's type.

I'd say that an E-PL2 is better, but it's about double this absurd price.

It's probably comparable to an E-PL1

At $99, it was easy to overcome my reluctance over the lack of a viewfinder and just jump on it. If I like it, I'll get the 20mm pancake and use it as me small, walk around wide angle. The images I've seen are pretty impressive.

  9. The 20mm pancake is nice. The 30mm pancake is sublime.

The NX200 for $199 was a better deal IMO. It didn't last long at all at that price.

Darnnit.. I always see these deals when its too late..
Ohh well... As someone who shoots primarily with Legacy glass maybe it is better that I missed the deal.. and hopefully something like this will happen for a NEX mount camera and maybe I can Finally get a freaking lens turbo for my glass.

Are you talking about operationally and output quality(high iso, etc.)?

How's the rear LCD in comparison?

This is crazy for an interchangeable lens, APS-C camera.

    Too bad I missed it.

    Feels used. And not lightly.
    Finger prints. Smudges. Scratched LCD.
    Missing battery. Missing front cap.
Worn out sticker placed right on the front that needs to be picked off.

Hopefully others here will get a better copy.

Edit: Samsung rep says unit is NOT factory refurb.

    Oh well. It happens.

The TD page stated that it was refurbished by a third party. Mine should arrive tomorrow so I hope it is in better shape.

I would get on the phone with them and demand a refund and they pay shipping back to them since it is missing items and is in such bad shape. Their page shows it coming with a battery and cap so that should be more than enough to get your money back.

    Thanks.
They are actually very helpful there.
    Paid shipping label.

My tone carried over from my initial discovery.
    Best of luck with yours.

Ya know, for $106 as long as the body is straight, the lens operates decently with clean glass and someone didn't take a crap on the sensor, I'll be happy.
