Slimmthers - I do not know (the warranty detail) so I can't really answer here. My understanding is warranty can be worked out but it is somewhat a pain given the situation. The (spec) differences, I suspect would be minor. I haven't compared either but I imagine nowadays NTSC/PAL should be no issue.

I messaged Panasonic and unfortunately the warranty will not transfer over to the US. It's too bad because I would have been interested in purchasing the camera from you.
