I had one in my cart twice, but couldn't pull the trigger. I want this lens, just not sure I need it just yet.

Lots of lens deals. I'm not sure I can afford to save all this money. I sort of wish this all happened before I bought the new O25.

It shows that they are backordered but allowed me to add it to my cart and pay so I just snagged one as well!!! Woo hoo!

The Oly site says "TEMPORARILY OUT OF STOCK - Sorry, backorders are not accepted at this time due to high demand for this lens." but it still let me add it my cart and pay. I hope this is not some website glitch that causes them to cancel my order. Given the problems with the mounts coming off, I expect that there should be a LOT of refurbs, so I'm hoping this isn't a glitch.

Wow! I just snagged one too!

If it works out, I'll sell my Lumix 12-35mm lens which is currently on my camera 95% of the time.

Dave - curious as to why you want to buy a 12-40 when you already have the 12-35. I know the 12-40 is bigger and heavier, but cheaper. Is that your only motivator?

I like that I get a little more reach. But the big reason is I figure at this price I can then sell the 12-35 and end up ahead money-wise. I've seen the 12-35 going for anywhere from $750 to $850 online.
