When I hit a snag in my work, or I'm just feeling demotivated, uninspired, or down, I've taken to photo walks in my neighborhood. Trying to find new ideas, angles, moments, and frames in a place I've walked every day for roughly four years is an extremely stimulating challenge.

These are the result of a walk around yesterday with my EM-5 and OM 75.

    Re-interpreting Harvard yard:

Nice shots! I suspect we all struggle with continuing to see new things in our own environments. It's easy to find inspiration when you're visiting NYC, Paris, the Grand Canyon, etc. Finding something new and interesting in our daily haunts is more challenging. Of course, it helps when that home turf is someplace picturesque like Harvard. :)

I only see interesting subjects when my camera is home in the bag.

The images of Harvard Yard bring back strong memories. I got married in Appleton Chapel, long ago. The image of reflections is very powerful too, expressing a lot about Cambridge, which was effectively my home town.
    Thanks for posting,

Haha, very true, though only the first two are of Harvard. In some ways, the yard can be hard to photograph because it's so "done", and there are so many tourists wandering around. So in those shots I was trying to do something a little different.

So true. But one of the beauties of M4/3 is that you can just take your camera with you in your coat pocket or your work backpack (which is what I did). :)

Very nice images and well done! Sometimes its good to limit yourself, like you did here.. take only one lens and just try to see with "that eye". I often do that, take my 25 or 45 and just focus on that fov. Personally i take better pictures that way, to many lenses in a bag and i get blind.

Brings back memories of my time in Cambridge - spent a year living on Harvard St just east of Harvard Yard, and another year I took a Hindi class in the Yard. Evocative photos and a nice blast from the past. Thanks!
