Today I decided since its rainy and windy to pull out a toy and taking its portrait using three different lenses. I plan to add more to this series soon, but here are the first three.

Raziel is a character in a series of video games in Legacy of Kain Soul Reaver. He was a character who was once a Vampire but was cast out when he grew wings ;)

Personally I find the detail of these figures to be some of the best that came out of the 90's.

    Zariell,

    Love these shoots.

Raziel, was one of my favourite character from all the times/games, another one was, of course in diferent register, was - Abe. Hope there will be a sequel for them on the next gen of console when will come out (PS4 and XBOX 720 next year)

Played all the sagas of these two games series.

Was wondering what software you use for your framing/borders. The last one that you pp for your blog is remarcable, have you used the same software for this one too as for the other ones?

    Cheers mate, well done!!!!

    Flo

Legacy of Kain, and the Soul Reaver series have been one of my favorite old school gaming experiences, although I have to admit I getting a fondness for the Witcher, Darksiders, and Dishonored.

The software I have been using for all my photography is Onone's Perfect PhotoSuite 6, and now version 7. There are literally thousands of different frames you can use, and thats if you are lazy and don't decide to make your own. I would say if you havent tried it, take advantage of the 30 day trial they have, might be what you need.

I like the Panny 45 at f2.8. Brings out more features of the character.

    Behind the Shroud...

So for today we remove our hero's shroud, what is behind it shows what kind of hero we really have. The only change to the setup was to turn his head a bit more towards the camera, to show off his "toothy" grin. :)

    Luitenant Raziel

And last but not least, or the last till I can find another figure we have the original Raziel. This is our vampire hero before he had his wings ripped off and was cast down into his own personal hell.

Still some life in the old figures yet

Well I honestly thought I was done with my good buddy Raziel, then today while I was reading, I saw an article on backlighting, and thought to myself "Self, that would make for a bad arse photograph of vampire wings!" So here are two more to ponder my sanity with :D

They were released by Eidos, I do not believe that they are McFarlane's work.

    My New Christmas Present!!!

For Christmas my wife lovingly gave me a brand spanking new Raziel by Neca, designed by four horsemen. Its so nice I immediately killed the value by opening it

Submitted here are direct comparisons of my old Raziel, and the new Raziel, please note I didn't do any of my normal lighting, just a straight up comparison, I'll be much more creative at a later date
