Anyone else have both the PL25 and 45? I just realized that the PL25 hood is DEEPER than the PL45 hood. Can't figure out why. It would seem to me that the 45 should have the deeper hood.

I didn't just get them mixed up, as I had the PL25 new first, and only recently got the PL45 used, and the used hood is more scuffed up, so it's easy for me to track the two.

    Anyone else notice this?

Not exactly and earth-shaking issue, but I just find it curious.

I noticed it too. Might have to do with the much smaller diameter of the 45's front element. I wish they'd both been made round and reversible.

One of the first things I did after unpacking the PL25 was to see whether you can exchange the hood with one of the PL45. They have the exact same bayonet. My guess is that for the PL45 they chose the shortest that they could do, so it would not be in the way when using it during macro shots.

I wonder if the hood from the 45-100 is interchangeable with the PL lenses...
