I don't think there is a R/C model flight thread.

But now there is! :)

Don't know where to post the photos otherwise, and the season has begun now!

Actually I sold my biggest helicopter because photo interest is stronger now. So I begin with a tribute to that helicopter.

(well, here is actually all my three white helicopters)

But here it is, the Henseleit TDR:

Edit:

I posted some non-m43 photos in another thread:

(check out Flickr-album with more Hobby photos, will be more there soon)

I kind of got into the hobby a few years ago but just never had the time or place to fly them. I learnt on Phoenix RC and still fly the little ones in the house. Though flying inverted in the house is rather challenging!

I'll dig out my helis and take some pics sometime. Nothing quite in the league of a TDR! I have a Mini Titan, Gaui 425 and a T-Trex 250. I really need to check all the batteries sometime as they've been sitting unused. Lipo batteries scare me a little.

aha, nice! yes, Lipo are a hassle. Hope they invent better chemistry soon :) Gaui is nice, I might buy another Gaui next year if I'm still active in the hobby.

Thanks for starting this thread, Danny.

I haven't flown any of my models for a few years and they're all hanging up in the garage gathering dust.
I've sold all my helis except for my Raptor 50 and still have 6 or 7 planes.

I was thinking that they're all a bit too "neglected" to photograph but maybe that would add to the character.

Danny -What fun! Just the other day I remembered my dad flying his gasoline powered, balsa wood, wire tethered model planes in a constant circle (circa 1955.) I don't believe R/C was an option then. But there were jet powered models.

My brother was visiting and brought his quad down from Ontario. He built it with from a plan and it has manual and computer assisted flying through GPS.

He has 2 cameras mounted. One is a GoPro for video and the other sends the video back to the googles he is wearing so he can fly from just the googles if he wants.

It's pretty cool!

I used a FL-36 flash fired remotely with a homemade reflector made from a shoebox lid and white paper. It's a fun little helicopter and I can fly it in the confines of my small townhouse backyard and even indoors.

This belongs to the president of a local "nitro" club. I think it's about 1/5 to 1/4 scale and makes enough noise to hear it a mile away. I caught it with the "kit" zoom all the way out at 150mm and then cropped down a bit. E-PM1. Very overcast day. 1/1250s f/6.3 ISO-200.

Sadly I have now sold my helicopters :( this is the last time I flew, just to try if they still worked, and also to have a farewell-session at the old field in Kungälv, Sweden.
