For using Adoramapix.com would it be better to send Tiff files or just send the JPEGs if TIFF do they still only use 8bits? Should I do the output sharpening for print on LR and should I crop it if I want it cropped?

I ran this by our CS Manager at AdoramaPix, and he responded:

Hi, Jpegs would be great, we do accept 8 bit tiff files if he feels more comfortable with that.

We do not add sharpening if he wants his images a bit sharper he should add some at his end.

I have ordered 11x14's from them in the past, and sent jpeg files with sharpening and cropping done in LR. I have been happy with the results, and I instruct them to leave the images as they are (i.e. no corrections). If you know what you are doing, and it sounds like you do, then this is a good work flow. If something is absolutely color critical, then order a sample before placing a large order.

    Good luck,

Just got my prints from adoramapix.com and I'm very impressed with them. Got some in the lustre 5x7s and 8x10s and some 8x10s in the metallic and 2 8x10 metal prints and a 20x30 metal print. Love the metal and metallic prints.
