Question about manual focus on OMD EM5

    Does the EM5 have a manual focus assist function? On my GH2 when I have the camera set for manual focus and I turn the focus ring on the lens the subject is magnified in the view finder. I'm hoping the EM-5 does the same!

    Not only does it do the same, but with a half press of the shutter button, the IBIS stabilizes the view in the EVF. It works great.

    Is it possible to set a function button to zoom the view in/out? With my GF1, I've found having the camera automatically zoom when you turn the focus ring a bit annoying quite frankly, I'd much rather set a button for that function and do it manually.

    You can assign the focus to S-AF, which makes the focus ring unuseable. With S-AF + MF, it can do AF with MF override (what you described).

    You can assign Fn1 to MF, and it'll enable/disable from/to MF to the previous setting.
