I've read the manual, searched on forums, and read reviews. Can't find the answer to this simple question...

Can you can set up the e-p3 to have the sub dial control exposure compensation, and the main dial to control aperture value independently, without having to hit a secondary button?

Every review references that they function independently in manual mode, but the user manual does not specify whether or not you can program the two dials independently of each other in the p,a, or s modes.

By the way, the sub dial = thumb scroller, main dial is around the four way controller.

In short: yes. It defaults to aperture value on sub dial. But can be configured for exp compensation on the sub dial..

I have aperture on sub dial and exp compensation on main dial..

  3. This was true on the E-P1 and E-P2. I can only assume that the E-P3 is the same.
