I have the PL45, and it has a defined on/off switch.

I'm finding I use IBIS less and less, and I was wondering how do the new Panny lenses (the ones without an OIS on/off switch) work with the Oly bodies.

If Oly IBIS is ON, do the new Panny lenses turn OIS on or off? Is it automatic, or do you use a menu setting?

If Oly IBIS is OFF, do the new Panny lenses turn OIS on or off? Is it automatic, or do you use a menu setting?

My understanding is that in all cases without a switch, the lens does not know about IBIS and the body does not know about OIS. OIS remains off no matter what.

On my Leica/Panasonic 45mm, I leave IS off on the lens & keep it on in my E-PL2 body...
