Problem: Hot Spots Flash Black on EVL+LCD

    During the period images are being saved to card, hot spots in the image flash2-3 times per second alternating between black and normal. This often occurs in low light situations too.

    Is this a problem in the making? Any thoughts?

    No. You have highlight alerts switched on which indicate areas of the picture that are saturated. It's a menu option (but given I don't know which camera...)

    It's useful to let you know when you have the exposure wrong. I have mine switched on so I can see whether I should take another - less exposed - picture.

    When the Auto Review function is activated or when playing back, white saturated areas appear blinking in black and white. This does not affect the recorded image.

    Under the Custom Menu (Wrench + C), scroll to Page 2 and select HIGHLIGHT. Set to OFF to turn this feature off.

    This is for the GX1 but I assume the your GH2 is in a very similar section/area. Hope this helps.
