So I just got a Pro Master 5750DX Flash unit because a local store was going out of biz and I was able to get it cheap. I thought (and so did the folks at the shop I got it at) the infrared sensor would just have a setting, but I'm not seeing anything.

Does anybody know how to get the flash to work remotely? Is there a setting I'm missing on the flash unit? Is there a setting in the camera? Do I need an additional remote trigger? (using with my Olympus OM-D EM5 fyi)

All help ASAP would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

If I remember right that flash with the Olympus module was FL-40 compatible, which does not have remote capability, and is NOT TTL compatible with M4/3 or 4/3 cameras...the red lens on the removable module was an AF illuminator, not an IR sensor.

Now if you buy a dumb optical slave, or a radio slave (i.e. Pocket Wizard or cheaper device) you can trigger the flash remotely.
