Power Of A Portrait

Discussion in 'Street, Documentary, and Portrait' started by StudioHeraBell, Jul 5, 2011.

  1. Shot with G1 and 14mm-45mm Lumix lens last winter. With one studio strobe.

I invite you to read my Blog and see other very different samples from the 2 hours studio session with the same subject. She is an art student at University. Not a pro model. A true beauty in all senses.

What makes a portait a powerful one? What are the elements we have to search for to create the impact?

Great portrait, and she's absolutely stunning! I do find the thin light halo around the hairline very distracting though.... maybe extend it out a bit more like the front of the face?
