I've done a few insects in B&W over the years.....not everyone likes them though. But having said that, one of the ones below did very well in a national competition a couple of years ago; second place in the B&W section, no less. I rather think the judges may have been drunk after a long lunch... :)

I admire the incredible technique and dedication that goes to getting such shots, but don't enjoy looking at them :)

But bravo for such great shots!
