Challenge 238 has ended, which means it's time for a new one, albeit with a little delay, apologies!

A bit of a weird one here, but there's 2 pics up for editing, you're free to chose which one you like (or both if you decide to enter twice)

The first one was taken during a night walk as i wanted to try out my newly arrived lens, it arrived late in the day however, thus the only option was to go out at night. The picture might not have the best lighting (street lamps) or framing, but that's the whole point of post-processing, good luck!

Spring is coming and some trees are already popping their flowers, here we have a cherry tree, but it was an overcast morning with dull lighting, see what you can make out of it!

The previous challenge can be found here: Post Processing Challenge #238

Contest will close Tuesday Evening 22th March GMT.
    ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    The Rules
The Challenger will provide any photo that he/she deems worthy of challenging other members to "improve" by way Post Processing. It must be their own photo. "Improve" is a subjective term, and includes many creative ideas as well as traditional "fixing". The Challenger agrees that entrants may make any changes they deem fit to post in their entry.

The winner of the previous challenge gets to post the next Challenge and serves as the judge for his/her PP challenge.

For obvious purposes, the judge is disqualified from participating in his/her own PP challenge. Instead, he/she should post a photo to start out the challenge.

If the winner fails to post a new challenge within five days, the responsibility passes to the runner-up.

At the end of the 72-hours (we don't have to be strict about 72-hours, especially with time differences depending on where you are on the globe), the judge will name a winner, a first runner-up, and a second runner-up.
    ----------------------------------------------
    Entrants
The Challenger's image is posted for the sole purpose of the PP Challenge; it is not posted to invite Critique or Criticism.

Entries shall be limited to 2 per member for each Challenge.

Entrants to post a BBCode link to the Large size image of their PP edit(s), preferably 1024px x npx, or npx x 1024px, if the original image and/or the PP edit allow for these sizes. Also a click-through to the original sized hosted edit if appropriate (but not a requirement for entry). If you post your entry to a photo-hosting site such as Flickr, Photobucket, or a Gallery, etc., please credit the original photographer to make it clear it is not your photograph; something like "Photo taken by dlpruk over at Mu-43.com" should suffice.

Entrants are strongly encouraged to post the settings and techniques used for their entry, however this is not a requirement for entry.

As we all know, beauty is in the eyes of the beholder. We may not all agree with the chosen winners, but the judges decision is final without adverse comment from the Entrants; the judge is encouraged (but not required) to state what criteria he used to decide on a winner.

To make sure we don't break any Mu-43 rules/regulations, by participating in the PP Challenge you are allowing the judge to re-post your image for the sole purpose of announcing the winners in the thread.

We have a challenge but we don't seem to have an image or any links to a file.

@dlpruk@dlpruk I didn't think it was a good picture because someone earlier couldn't recognise what it was and after explaining deleted their posts, making me think he didn't like it, so i changed it , i like your edit though, you got a lot of the color information to pop despite the terrible lighting it had :) (Although i will stay with the new picture as it seems less of a nightmare to post process, apologies for that!)

    @Zeus1@Zeus1 nice crop & edit! :)

I'll stick with the first one as it was more of a challenge and thus why I like participating in these 'cause everyone will see something different in it.

I'd like a crack at the first image as well.... may as well put both sets of links up :)
Just wasn't happy with anything I did with the blossoms so just inverted them for a different look

Alright, i've added both to the original post, it'll be difficult deciding on the winners, but i'll do my best! Sorry for the messy start to the challenge!
@dlpruk@dlpruk I guess you are right, nice frame in that second one ;-)

    Keep them coming!

I'd say 2 submissions total, 1 for each, or both of your favourite image, unless it's a better idea to go for 2 per image? But i think that'll make deciding on a winner even harder due to the amount of images posted, i can't pick a winner for each image :p (i could, but only 1 would be allowed to create the next challenge)

I always tend to go a bit overboard for these, but it is fun.

Overlayed blended and rotated layers for a bit a kaleidoscope effect.
