Colourful Harbour front buildings brighten up a rather drab day in Portree.
Portree is the largest town on Skye in the Inner Hebrides of Scotland
It has a harbour, fringed by cliffs, with a pier designed by Thomas Telford.

  2. My partner's family are originally from near there, we really need to get up there at some point. The 16 hour drive puts me off though!

It's worth the drive ... you won't regret it.

I suppose I'm lucky in that I can go there and back in a day - albeit a long day!!
Geoff is right - there's just so much to see on the island.
