Being a Walking Dead aficionado, I could really go for Dog.

Maybe Cat would be better. Not much chance of several dogs coming to heel on that.

In my country, WW2 dog names are best avoided.

Picture yourself yelling the name loudly when calling the dog...and then think if those sounds are the kind that carry well. Like Liam for instance. Good name, but it doesn't sound like it would travel well when being yelled. No, not kidding...this can be very helpful depending upon the type of dog and propensity to run. My in-laws had a Niko and a Roko and Roko seemed easier to call since the sound is more natural when you yell. That being said, my Pit-Weimaraner that I had for 13 years was named Shelly...
