Jack of Spades and an unfeasibly large wheelbarrow
Oct 29, 2018
Charente Maritime, western France
Real Name
We called our most recent Jack Russell, Pixel, for he was born with a prominent black spot on a mainly white coat.

As a result, the kids and all their friends turned that name into Pickle, which also suits him fine, too. On the basis that your's will get into one, many times, I can recommend Pickle quite a lot. It's certainly better than Rover, or Fido, both options that can lead to confusion in a dog park.

If you like gherkins, then even better.

Male, I assume. Boston?

Bark Wahlburg AKA Barky Bark?
I like Dog R. Seuss. But ya can't really name a dog 'dog'. No one is gonna be impressed.
Franklin? A better name for a Dachshund, really. Man, always wanted a Dachshund but I have been in Greyhound and lurcher rescue too long to get one.
Pershing's nickname was Black Jack, so dunno if ya wanna name a light coloured dog Pershing. A dark Jack Russel makes more sense.
Patton's nickname was Blood And Guts...dunno if ya wanna go with Patton unless the pup takes up hunting
If you wanna go military, 'Auti' was Custer's nickname. That seems rare enough.
Puppy Barkington(Pappy Boyington) maybe?
I've always wanted to name a husky 'Harry DeWolf'
Admiral Clifton Sprague's nicname was Ziggy.

My dog names have mostly been straight forward:

Roman(a Greyhound with a big nose - Photoshop warning):

Knuckles(an enormous Rottweiler):

Noodles - A Komondor my brother used to have(they have long dreadlocks).

Ceatharlach, which is Irish for Carlow. A Greyhound I got from a farmer in County Carlow, Ireland for €17 - the amount I had in my pocket at the time:
