Just curious who uses video. Please note that I'm curious about use and not factors like resale value.

    Yes, I do :)

Do I have enough time to edit and create something coherent? Nope, but maybe some day?

If I didn't care about video, I wouldn't have bought a mirrorless at all. The SLT has actually turned out to be the best video camera so far, the GH3 came close but missed the mark. The EM5 does a great B-cam for the most part.

I'm curious too. Are there many like me who never use video and consider it irrelevant?

i don't use video often, but when i do, i am certainly glad i didn't need to buy a dedicated camcorder. so i'm thankful quality video is part of the :43: package and it did factor into my decision to go with this system.

If I wanted serious video I would buy a hacked GH2, a GH3 or the BMPCC. I might also pick up an ML improved 5D. Once you consider any sort of rig the compactness of the camera is not such a big issue.

The current OM-D is ok for any video I want to shoot at the moment.

I'm not a video guy, but I wish I were.

I have the every now and again odd video clip in lightroom- the E-M5 sensor stabilization is cool to play with.

It's when you mount the camera on a table-top tripod and use it at ground level!

"Low end" sounds better than "lousy".

I can't answer the poll until I understand this. For example, the video capability of my E-PL5 suits me just fine.

Is it a low-end video camera

GH1, 2 and 3, all mainly for video, stills second. The ETC function is the killer app for me. My GF3 is a walk around stills camera.

I keep a G5 around as a 2nd body mainly to be able to shoot (amateur) video when needed. It may not be in a GH2-3 league but it works really well for me. I'm considering getting an LX7 for the wide, fast lens, tho. I understand it does video well.

I don't use it much, but when I do I'm glad that it's full 1080. I'm quite impressed how sharp the video from my GF5 looks.

I only use it when I want to shoot video. Sometimes on accident, too.

I tried it on my G2, it works, I never use it. I might use it someday just because it's there. My choice of format and camera had nothing to do with video and I expect that to be true in the future. I might choose not to buy a camera because the video capability pushes the price up too high.

That's about as close to irrelevant as it gets.

Reviews say some video implementations are better than others. Maybe you want some video to capture the occasional UFO sighting but quality really isn't important.

Processing photos takes long enough. Video would just be another time sink for me.

I have a GoPro for the only videos I bother recording.

It's never really irrelevant if it adds to the cost of the camera
