Lumix India sent this pocket rocket Panasonic Lumix G100 so I can use it and share my experience with them.

Thought of posting some test shots from this tiny camera.

The camera shots are from Google Pixel 4a rest all shots are from Panasonic Lumix G8100 & 25mm 1.4 and 1 from 42mm 1.7

Well, that's pretty close...
We used to refer to small cars with big engines at pocket rockets. Stuff like that VW Rabbit with a big engine (forget what the name was) or the Subaru WRZ. I just googled it (thanks a lot there) and I see it's been co-opted, but I remember using that term back to at least the 80s to mean a tiny car with a big engine. That's out here in the northeast. Was that not the case in MI?

Love the pics- I think I asked this in your other thread, but are those SOOC jpgs, or did you do any post? If SOOC, what were your jpg settings?

Overall, for me, the camera is not right. The GX85/95 or GM or G85 just had richer features and value prop.

So why the shots showing the 12-32 lens if you didn't use it?
Well the camera came with the 12-32 as a kit along with other lenses too. And what is the problem if I shot the body with the kit lens to show how tiny the whole thing is when you buy it as a kit ? And I would post later when I take images with the kit lens too.

I set the camera to standard and then incase if I want, I just adjust a little contrast here and there. The adjustments are just maybe 2-4% max that too only if required.
Rest I set the metering to spot and AWD. Depending on the picture im taking I do adjust the saturation in the camera. I had the Olympus 25mm 1.8 but that lens never rendered the images like this one the lens itself adds a lot of punch and character to the images. Few more shots

For example the first image is sooc and the second is contrast adjusted and just cropped a bit.

Well even I would prefer a camera like gx85 or gx9. But this is good for someone who wants extreme portability with excellent image quality. The camera is ridiculously tiny.

Probably just a language barrier thing, but you may want to look up what 'Pocket Rocket' means in the US.
I use "pocket rocket" for cameras as well, I don't know that I've heard anyone really refer to guns that way, I prefer the term "mouse gun."

No problem. I was just confused since you seem to be wanting to show the results of this "pocket setup" with that camera with that lens, but then none of the photo used that lens but instead used lenses that probably put the combo into something less than pocketable.

80's? Let's try 60's and 70's!

Well will be posting pics with that set-up too. 👍🏽

I'm not sure whether the G100 is a pocket rocket or not. The GM1 and GM5 are, but I am not sure just how pocketable the G100 is with that viewfinder hump and its larger dimensions.

That withstanding, I do like the idea of the G100. Lack of Ibis puts me off less than the flash sync speed though. Those are some nice photos, Rav!
