Playing with light and shapes and night

    Not sure these qualify as "scenic, architecture, and travel" but what the heck, I guess I was sort of traveling (around with my camera). I just love my PM2 + Panny 14-45mm combo, which can sort of be seen in the second one, "self portrait".

    I like the 2nd one - it reminds me of the new Windows 8 desktop!
    I wish I liked Windows 8 as much as I like your photo!

    I LOVE the second photo. The hard geometric lines provide an appealing negative space which is juxtaposed with the people and landscape toward the right. The strong red color of the window panes contrasts with the cooler blue in the windows themselves.

    Dramatic and effective lighting, the first especially.
    Opposing angles make it dynamic composition.
