because it handles much better than my OMD! I loved the grip, the button placement, the articulating screen in both directions and I'm amazed to say I found the EVF + touchscreen quite intuitive.

I still prefer the size and look of my OMD, but it's got me thinking...

    Damn you Panasonic

Heck, I ended up liking the G5 better than the E-M5. I handled Jay Loden's E-M5 at a get together for the Serious Compacts board and was pretty impressed. It's too much for me to consider right now though and I don't want that Sony sensor back, lol.

I think the GH3 is very well designed.

Yep, the GH3 handles like a dream. Right up there with the best cameras I've personally used.

    Contrary to popular belief,
There are people that prefer the GH3 over the OM-D

I was smitten too... along with the equally stunning 12-35mm
Prices are falling now so it was time to take the plunge
The video footage is breathtaking too!
Judging by the used prices of the 2 year old GH2 commanding £500 body only in the UK, its a sound investment for a few years yet!

Totally agree about the 12-35. I started my u43 journey in the expectation of using primes mainly but I weakened to the practicality of a standard zoom and bit the bullet on the 12-35. Really glad I did, the IQ is top rate and its size/weight for a 24-70/2.8 equiv is outstanding.
