Found this not-so-little (about 4" long, 1" wide) guy while looking in the shed for the patio umbrella. He's sitting (vertically, but I rotated the shots) on a squeeze bottle of Poison Ivy Killer. My biggest regret is that a rapidly approaching thunderstorm not only hurt my lighting, but also really cut short my shoot. I didn't have time for tripod, so these are all hand-held, and it started to rain hard right before I got a chance to really get close (PL45 still had a few more inches of focus range.) The textures and patterns on its skin were simply amazing.

That little white dot on the edge of the hole, which I was able to see clearly I was taking a very close shot that didn't hold up to hand holding (I was trying to get it very quickly as rain started hitting my G3), was a little teeny, tiny spider living inside it.

Oh, and I need a better photo editor.
