The Online Photographer will be publishing a review of the PL 25 mm lens by Kirk Tuck tomorrow but also states that the lens has apparently been discontinued though acknowledging that statement is unconfirmed.

Panasonic frequently has supply issues: sometimes too many at sale prices, sometimes too few.

I don't think the lens is discontinued. Just out of stock for the moment.

I heard this rumor as well; however, from a friend whom heard it from a Panasonic medical imaging sales rep. Could it be this?

    Hi David
Thanks for the info.I never knew Panasonic will take my two threads and discontentment so seriously to the extent they wanna withdraw lens from the market :rofl:
So they agree that lens has some issues with IQ and noise on Olympus bodies ( in my case its ok actually) .
    Thanks Panasonic .

Excellent! I'm going to buy more of them then. DEFINITELY!!! These will prove highly collectible if discontinued....and rightly so as there is not another normal lens in the mu43 line-up that even approximates its rendering.
