I'm starting this image thread to showcase photography by those of Scottish heritage and/or anyone wearing a kilt while shooting. Subject matter is open to participating photogs.

Oh, and lest ye get cross with me, I'm a Scot, and Bhupinder made me do it!

Wow, we Scots are pretty low key judging by this thread.

I hesitate to inflict myself in a feileadhbeag on the rest of you unsuspecting innocents

I'm Scottish, don't have a kilt but own several cameras. (I find cameras take better photos than kilts) I'm very cantankerous but it doesn't show in my photographs I hope.

What wonderful photos! I especially like the Linlithgow and Forth Bridge shots. I have a few amateurish photos here:

I have two kilts, but I only fit in one of them :)

I'm not Scottish, but I have lots of Scottish friends - it's like moths to a lightbulb where the Scots and me are concerned, I attract 'em! Consequently I have in the past spent quite a lot of time "north of the border" had many good times and got beautifully drunk in excellent company. My daughter even chose Edinburgh as her university, she went up there at 18 years old and never came back to live in England again. She lives in Vancouver now, went over there after 8 lovely years in Scotland where we visited her often - and we do miss our regular runs up there now.

I've done many bike tours in the Highlands over the years and loved every single minute of my time there - and am proud to consider myself an honorary Scot. I actually have two rather fine haggises - haggi? - in my freezer (gift from a Scottish pal) and my favourite tipple of the moment is a nice Glenfarclas 15 year old, or a Balvennie Double Wood depending on my mood.

I mention all of the above merely to justify posting the following pictures

I went to Perth once to buy a new water pump for the caravan, my one and only fleeting visit I'm ashamed to say. One of my good Scottish pals lives in Dunfermline though which isn't too far away, does that count? ....... His dentist is there, apparently

I'm neither a Scot, of Scottish heritage, nor a regular kilt-wearer, but I have had the fortune of living in Aberdeen for a wee while when I was studying at RGU, and managed to get about the place a bit

Stunning shots, Kevin and Nick - thanks for sharing. Is there anywhere more photogenic than Scotland?
